This morning I had the pleasure of meeting with Nancy Spencer, midwife extraordinaire and founder of Lakeside Birth Center. I say midwife extraordinaire because Nancy has delivered around 4,500 babies into this world. That is a lot of people that owe their safe arrival to this wonderful woman. It was an enlightening experience for me….

Erin - What a beautiful place and fantastic post! My oldest son was actually delivered by a midwife named Nancy 🙂
Ashley - What a sweet post! I have met Nancy once. Jake’s sister Joy delivered all three of her babies there! It’s a very nice place and she is a wonderful lady!
Cindy - Wow! What a great post Jennifer! Too bad I am done having babies… but I will spread the word about Nancy’s center!
Keira Welter - Great blog! Makes me want to have another baby because I know I would be in great hands!
Raylene - That is one gorgeous place to bring your new baby into the world!! How wonderful to help so many families. Love new babies 🙂
Rachel - Wow! What a beautiful place to have a baby. Great article.
Susan Gertz - Although my children were born over 20 years ago, I remember their hospital births very well. The hospital was as nice as a hospital can be, but having a baby in this lovely birthing center would have been a wonderful experience.
Dana - Interesting read! Thanks for sharing!
Damaris - wow! I loved reading your article.
Sarah - Wow! It makes me have another baby just to have a baby there! How breathtaking and Nancy sounds amazing!
Kellianna - Great article. Wish I was having a baby again. This is certainly the way I would go. Will direct any one interested in their direction. Beautiful!
Rachel Roberts - What a gorgeous place to pop out a kid! I love midwives and birthing centers. So much more personal then the care that hospitals give you!
Mary - Sounds like Nancy is the real deal. Someone who truly wants what is best for mohter and baby. Someone who is passionate about her job. What a neat place to have a baby. My favorite part – only staying 2 hours after the baby is born. I remember BEGGING to leave the hospital after mine were born.
Sara - The Center sounds like such a great place to have a baby. What a great opportunity to meet such a fabulous woman. That would have been nice to leave shortly after having the baby!
