Somebody’s Watching Me {Newborn Photographer Seattle Tacoma Puyallup}
Siaosi came to the studio for his newborn photography session shortly after Halloween. A year and a half ago I got to be his little sisters newborn photographer. It has been such a privilege to be part of two wonderful events in this little families timeline;-) I knew that this little fellow was going to make me work really hard. Poor little guy was a month old by the time he came to see me. He has had some re-flux issues and just hasn’t had the happiest start. As I went about my business trying to create some magic in the studio I had a song running through my mind. Actually what I had running through my mind was one line of lyrics from the chorus being sung by my daughter over and over. She is four so it sounds a little funny. No matter what was going on this little man had his eyes on me the whole time (except for about 20 minutes). Even now looking at this portrait I can’t help but sing, “Why do I feel like…somebody’s watching me….”. I know it is silly. But I don’t think I will ever be able to look at an image from his session without thinking of that song.
On a more sweet and tender note I have had a few people ask about this little fellows name. He is named after his Grandfather (LOVE IT). Siaosi (See-O-See) means George in Tongan. It always makes me a little mushy to hear about how parents selected their baby’s names. You have a chance to give a child a name that will be a strength to them all their lives. A name that will teach and comfort. Siaosi senior must be a wonderful, great man to have the privilege of being little Siaosi’s name sake.
Anahit - little guy is just too sweet! I did his moms maternity seosisn a couple months ago and have been waiting anxiously for his arrival. He was such a good little
