Good Things Come To Those Who Wait {Newborn Photographer Seattle, Tacoma, Puyallup}
One of the things I love about being a newborn photographer is getting to hear peoples birth stories. What were those last nine months like? What were those first few moments like after delivering your baby? Every single story is different. And the ones that really stick with you are the triumphant ones. Stories where mom and baby struggled through and now sit celebrating in my studio are my favorite. I love those “silver lining” stories. Ava came to see me this last week and her story began with her mother’s tough pregnancy. I won’t share all the details because that would be her story to tell. But as she put it when retelling her experience, “I had one of those pregnancies. If there was a small chance that something would happen it happened to me.”
As she shared her story with me I worked on soothing and posing this precious daughter. Her skin was so soft. She was so petite. Her features were so fine, and her lashes long and thick (thought light enough to not photograph well…I need a macro lens for Christmas Santa). I marvel every time that I work with a baby, that such a precious little miracle came from such humble simple beginnings, was born in the midst of turmoil and pain and now slumbers peaceful in the arms of her parents. Truly…good things come to those that wait.
