A Prize Is In The Mail l For Me Silly
As a newborn photographer I have two lenses that I rely on constantly. I love my 85 1.2 lens. But I have to be at least 3 feet away from my subject. And when you are photographing sweet little newborns in pretty little props, or on a bean bag for that matter, that just won’t do. I want to be hands on that baby in an instant in case he / she decides that moving and shaking is much more fun than sleeping peacefully. So for the most part I rely on my 24-70 2.8 lens. It is a work horse. But I am just not getting things exactly how I want them. Every good photographer has a awesome selection of lenses to turn to for portraiture. And I have decided it is time to add another to my collection A little nifty 50 1.4 is on it’s way to my door step. (I Love you UPS man). Every lens has it’s own strengths and weaknesses. I am hoping that my new 50 will give me the creative freedom I have been looking for. Having a lens that isn’t so long and heavy won’t be such a bad thing either. We’ll see! I love presents. Even if I buy them for myself.
