If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.

It is as if van Gogh was a baby photographer.  Did he even paint portraits of babies?  How did he know, and what profound words.  Eternal is truth.  And truth is a constant with a newborn.  It is a truth that you will never be more exhausted.  It is a truth that you will never be more content.  There is truth in the saying that describes a mother’s heart growing.  Truth is holding an infant in your arms and knowing the meaning of love.  There is truth when family and friends come to your rescue with much needed aid and delicious meals.  They say that you will grow closer as a couple – truth.  They say that time will seam to stand still on the one hand and propel you forward on the other – truth.  There is truth in the fact that you will never love your own mother so much.  Truth that dictates that from this moment forth you will forever be biased to the wonders and achievements of your own child.  There is truth in every single aspect of babyhood and becoming a parent.

Babies are the source of the most innocent, blissful, peaceful happiness on this earth.  There is no experience or drug more potent than more powerful than becoming a mother and holding your baby.
