Katherine is having a birthday!  Just think of all the things she has learned in the last year.  And how much she has grown.  When you think about how much a difference that first year makes in what a baby can do and has learned it is amazing.  Her little brain has been on over drive 24/7 to become the little lady she is today.  She is learning not only how to survive and thrive in her world, but how to have fun doing it.  And all the while she is making those connections she has bonded with people in ways that have helped to get to where she is today.  Those first year tasks seem so small and simple to you and I.  But if you have ever seen an adult suffering from sever trauma and accident have to relearn those basic baby skills you know just how complex and difficult they are.  Babies are miracles!  Do you ever look at them and wonder what they think, what they dream or how they are feeling?  Their little minds are such a mystery to me.  I am so happy that I got to meet Katherine and to commemorate her first of many amazing years with a portrait session.  She deserved to be in the spotlight for the day and she did a great job at being a super little baby model.  I am so excited to share these portraits with her family and to wish this little princess a very happy birthday and another wonderful year of milestones!
