It’s Never Too Late {Newborn Photography Puyallup, Tacoma and Seattle}
Isn’t he beautiful. Smooth creamy skin, slumbering peacefully looking like the most precious little newborn that you ever did see. You would never guess that he was almost a month in a half when he came to see me. His wonderful Mom had been persistently looking for a photographer to capture his newborn innocence since he was two weeks old. I heard from her while on vacation and suggested that she keep looking and that I would contact her when I got back. I was surprised to find upon my return home that she still had not found a photographer for Sawyer. Apparently all of the newborn photographers that she had contacted were being sticklers for sticking to that optimal 5-10 day window.
I told her that there wasn’t any harm in trying and as long as she was prepared for her session to be a little different than the norm (couldn’t guarantee certain poses, lots of sleepy pictures etc…) I would be happy to photograph her little boy. Two hours into Sawyer’s session I was beginning to think I was a foul to have taken on such a difficult task. But we kept on. We soothed, rocked, fed and cuddled this little guy. And he payed us back with an hour of total slumber!!! We busted out all of his session photos in that one hour. After the session I looked at the images on my camera and sat in wonder that these beautiful shots of this mothers’ first baby almost didn’t happen. But because of her persistence and my patience and a small miracle she will have beautiful “almost” brand new baby images of her tiny son.
And so a lifelong quest of fighting on behalf of her son has begun. At every turn from here on out Sawyer’s mother will be diligently looking out for his best interests. She will help to secure opportunities for him. Fight for his rights. And because of her love, diligence, persistence and patience Sawyer will have the opportunity to succeed. Just like he did in my little studio that day.
Kellianna - Well Done!
Spencer - Jennifer: You photo of my grandson brought tears to my eyes. Sawayers mother will tell you that I am kinda of a amateur photographer and took 154 photos of Sawyer on his first day. Yes, that is correct 154 photos. However, none of these photos give justice to what this little guy is really like, but your photo here is just incredible. I/we Ithank you so much, Proud Grandpa Spencer:-)
Jennifer Wilcox - Grandpa Spencer your comment was the perfect start to a new day. It was my pleasure!!!
jen gagliardi - love this! I loove that little bucket? Is that a antique store find??
Jennifer Wilcox - Jen it is a bucket that a friend and fellow photographer found for me!! She had to talk me into buying it. I owe her big time. I LOVE it!
