Like Butter {Newborn Photographer Seattle Tacoma Puyallup}
My inspiration for Penelope’s newborn session was butter. Butter? What’s that you say? Honestly….I am so very much in love with the name Penelope. It is uncommon and 200% precious! Shonda don’t be angry if this post makes mothers all over Washington and the United States name their daughters this classic treasure of a name. While taking maternity portraits for this little lady’s mommy I asked her what she planned on naming her daughter. Ever since then “Penelope” has been rolling off my toung. It melts in your mouth like butter, so sweet and soft. My 8 year old, who assisted during the maternity session (holding the reflector) fell in love too. She is already planning on naming her first born daughter…you guessed it…Penelope;-)
So with a sweet sounding, melt in your mouth like butter, totally classy and very antique name in mind I went about styling a session. I decided that it had to be all about creams and antique yellows. And I am head over heels in love with every single portraits from this session. I had to call the family in to help me pick a “favorite” to post on the blog!
So cheers to a beautiful newborn baby girl with an equally beautiful name!
Jessica - What a little sweetie! Great work as always, Jennifer! You are right, the name Penelope is so sweet 🙂
Afsi - Penelope is such a darling name. We had it on our name list too but decided we could not name our daughter anything starting with P, since her last name was Parnell. Sounded a bit funny. The antique yellows are so soft and pretty! I love this photo with the “strings” flowing on Penelope’s back like hair. 🙂
Meghan Rickard - Love the little tieback on her, so darling!
Huong Forrest - I think this is a beautiful butter inspired photo!! SOOO gorgeous!
Jessica Washburn - What a darling little girl! Love how soft and sweet this image is.
Anya Wait - Oh she looks like a sweet little Buttercup! Precious.
Heather Lickliter - Love her name too!
Jessica Vaughn - What a sweet little girl!
Melissa Berg - Love it! Thanks for sharing where your inspiration came from! 🙂
