This summer has been a busy one for so many. With such excellent weather I hope that many families are finding the time to get out with their loved ones to explore and enjoy our beautiful state. We sure have had our share of adventuring this summer in the Wilcox household. I have had to keep careful tabs on my schedule to make sure that I am still available for all of my wonderful clients as new babies are born and celebrations call for beautiful portraits. Gracie’s mom hired me to be her Auburn baby photograph and I was so excited to take a break from summer play to meet and photograph this beautiful, happy little lady. Gracie is celebrating her first birthday and she looks pretty excited to start another year of curious discovery. It won’t be long before she is walking and then off to a run to share her contagious smiling spirit with all those she meets. I took several portraits from her birthday session that I just absolutely adore. Posting a sneak peek for families is always so exciting. I feel like Santa Clause. We just had out family pictures taken a few weeks ago and I am still waiting to see how they turned out, very anxiously, lol! I hope at least a few of these absolutely perfect portraits of this absolutely perfect little girl make it up on the walls of her parents home. Enjoy! Mia came to see me for her baby milestone session a few weeks ago and then I left right away for our family reunion. I have had the images from this beautiful baby girl’s session in the back of my head the whole time. I have been looking forward to editing them and sharing with her family. Mia came to her portrait session with her big sister. Maia was such a good helper. She stood by the camera trying to make her baby sister smile and giggle. She picked up any props that her sister let fall. And I may have found the very best bubble blowing assistant ever. Maia got the bubbles in just the right spot and at just the right amount while we had her little sister playing in the tub. It was so much fun. Especially since I have been photographing both of these beautiful girls since their newborn sessions. One of my favorite sets from Mia’s session was this second one. Her mommy had the wonderful idea of photographing her daughter holding flags from the countries that her parents claim. What a fun way to work your heritage into a portrait. I love it. This was a very fun session and I am very excited to share my favorite portraits with her patient mommy and daddy!

Rylen’s family are BIG hockey fans. I haven’t ever even seen more than a highlight clip of a game. And yet this little fellow just turned one and he already has the moves down. Maybe it’s because his big brother is an avid player and he has grown up watching and learning. We gave him a stick and a puck and he did all the rest. The sport set of pictures from Rylen’s session are my favorite. As a Renton baby photographer I always love when I get to do something a little different. I have never photographed a tiny hockey athlete before, lol. This little chap has grown and changed so much from his newborn session last year. Take a look here at Rylen just a few days old. I can’t believe it has been a year since his first portrait session with me. Birthday and cake smash sessions always seem to sneak up on me. Almost every single time when I get a message from a client looking to come back to see me for one year milestone pictures I wonder at how fast time has flown by. When you are a Lakewood baby photographer you see a lot of cute kids come through your doors. There are a handful that you know are destined to be heart breakers. Sometimes I feel like I should have a side show being a talent scout so I could hand over modeling contracts. Michael is one of those special little people. Not only is he the cutest thing ever, but he was super easy to work with and had such a happy smiley personality. He is perfect for star biz. If he ever makes it big some day on the Hollywood screen I will love to say I told you so to whoever is listening, lol. Michael was so fun to photograph and loved being in front of the camera.
