Ashley hired me to be her Bothell maternity photographer and came to see me last week to have her portraits taken. I love getting to meet mothers that are soon to hold their first baby in the arms. There is no better way to celebrate your pregnancy than with a maternity photography session. It is the perfect time to do something special to remind you just how glamorous you are with that perfect little baby bump! Ashley’s maternity session was on a beautiful warm April afternoon, so I was able to shoot outside with her a bit. It isn’t every photographer who can boast a fabulous park like yard to shoot in. I love when the weather is warm and I have that extra versatility to shoot indoors and outdoors. I can’t wait until I get to see this wonderful little family once baby arrives!
I was so excited when the Spencer family asked me to be their Puyallup newborn photographer. It was a real honor to be a part of their celebration bringing their first child into the world. The world is such a small place and I just love the ways it works. Years ago when I was just starting out as a newborn photographer I reached out to the top midwives in my community. On the top of that list was this little ladies Grandma. I remember coming home from my interview with her and thinking that I had just met a really top notch professional. And just last week I got to serve this family with my own professional talents.
Mila was born on April 1st. What an awesome birthday. Her mommy worries that it is a foreshadowing of having a little prankster in the house. I think it will be such a fun birthday! And April babies are the very best. At her newborn portrait session I got to hold and cuddle this sweet little thing! Her mommy had some special requests. And I hope that I met and went above and beyond her expectations! I was so happy with the maternity portraits that I took for this lovely mommy, which you can revisit here. I am aiming for even more happiness when Mila’s family gets to see all of her newborn session images!
I love it when families hire me to be their Gig Harbor newborn photographer. It gives me hope that in the future when it comes time to move my business to Gig Harbor so that we can be nearer to my husband’s office that I will have enough of a client base there that it will make the transition from Puyallup just a little bit easier. It is after all a pretty short drive across a beautiful bridge. Sometimes when I think about moving my business, which will happen probably in about two years, I dream about having a gorgeous studio right on the harbor. Of course that isn’t going to happen, lol. I would have to charge a fortune for sessions and products in order to cover the lease. But it is a wonderful dream.
This last week I got to meet another wonderful Gig Harbor family. Little Javier came to see me to have his newborn portraits taken. He was of course perfect in ever way. This little peanut had the most beautiful skin ever! He was so soft. I was so happy to be able to hold him. Those little fingers wrapping around my finger brought me right back to bringing home my own little baby bundles. Daddy wasn’t able to come to his son’s photography session. So he will be seeing all of his son’s newborn portraits for the very first time. I wish I could be there with him and his amazing wife as they ohh and ahh over all of the sneak peeks tonight. Congratulations to this wonderful family. May your brand new son bring you tons of joy and happiness!
Mason’s parents came a long ways to see me to be their Newcastle baby photographer! I always hope that clients that travel from the Seattle area find the drive down to Puyallup well worth it once they open their portrait package from me. I feel strongly that my clients should have no regrets about hiring a professional baby photographer. Mason’s mom had planned all all of his wardrobe and cake smash accessories perfectly for his session. All of the little details make such a huge difference in creating beautiful portraits of your baby. I LOVE his crown and bow tie for his cake smash! I wish I would have thought to ask her where she purchased it. Maybe she will comment and let us all know. Doing a search for birthday crowns on Etsy yields some pretty fun items, click here. I also loved Mason’s cake. Themed cakes really do make cake smash pictures just that much more perfect. The them for this one, blue, yellow and bananas is super simple and id just enough without taking away any attention from handsome little Mason. His mommy nailed it. And Mason nailed the Napoleon pose. So props to him for being a super stud!
Melissa and her partner hired me to be their Tacoma maternity photographer. It was a pleasure to meet these expecting mommies as they embark on the journey of become parents. One of the things I love about this job is getting to help women feel beautiful. There is absolute truth in the idea of a glow that accompanies a woman expecting a baby. As her belly swells with life her whole body gleams with love and anticipation. Melissa and Chris are awaiting the arrival of a daughter. In just a few short weeks more she will be here and I will get to meet her! I love newborn photography sessions, especially when I get to photograph little girls!
If you are looking to hire a Tacoma maternity photographer please contact me so we can schedule a session to capture your beautiful baby bump! Of all the things you can do to spoil yourself when pregnant, a photo session is the very best. Let me show you how very beautiful you are! Growing a person is hard work and you deserve a special treat. I always recommend that maternity clients make the most out of their portrait day by scheduling hair and makeup. It adds the perfect touch to a perfect day!
