Puyallup Newborn Photographer ~ Norah

Puyallup Newborn Photographer

Norah is the baby girl of one of my good friends.  I do not get to photograph many of my friend’s babies, not many of them are still adding perfect little people to their families anymore.  I am so glad that I got to be Norah’s Puyallup newborn photographer.  Norah is all chubby perfection.  Her mommy loves her in pink.  So pink it was.  My favorite Rhodie bush had just started blooming a few days before Norah’s newborn photography session.  It was so fun to add those to the set for her portraits.  Norah wasn’t super excited about being a celebrity.  But she was patient with me just long enough to get a handful of really beautiful portraits.  Being a newborn photograph isn’t all fun and games, sometimes some tender loving care and lots of patience is required.  I hope her mommy loves the images we were able to get of her.

I have been Angela’s Puyallup newborn photographer for three of her beautiful babies!  Three of her beautiful, perfectly chubby, always overdue babies have been in my studio for baby pictures.  That is just super awesome!  I love being part of such special times.  Being a Puyallup newborn photograph means that just for a little bit I get to be a part of your family.  I feel super close to all of my client families as we celebrate the arrival of their children.  Most of the time my clients come to me from Seattle, so an extra advantage of having families hire me from Puyallup is that I get to run into them all the time.  Jeanette’s Dad taught my kids piano for several years.  I love being able to see this little angel’s brothers and sisters grow up.  I have heard her mommy and daddy sing in community Christmas concerts.  Connection!  That is what makes a job a joy.  I was so happy with how well all of Jeanette’s sibling cooperated during her newborn portrait session.  They were so great.  I have so many beautiful pictures to share with this family of their baby girl with her siblings.

Auburn Newborn Photographer ~ Matteo

Matteo’s parents hired me to be their Auburn newborn photographer and I finally got to meet little Matteo when he came to see me two weeks ago for his first baby portraits.  I love that I get to be a part of celebrating the arrival of a new baby with so many wonderful families.  This handsome newborn baby boy is named after two of his uncles.  No pressure uncles, but that means you had better be the very best uncles ever.  I wonder who the favorite will be, lol.  What a beautiful way to honor your brothers.  I love when babies are given family names.  I think there is power in a name and most certainly in words.  I hope little Matteo will be blessed with all of the best things his Uncles can offer and teach him.

I got to photograph Matteo right before leaving on a Spring break vacation with my family and have been super excited to return home to edit the images from his newborn session so that I could share them with his family.  I think my favorite is the upper right image in his sneak peek collage.  Although the bottom middle is a super close runner up.  Which one is your favorite?  Please let me know in the comments.

Lakewood Baby Photographer ~ Tova

Lakewood Baby Photographer

When you are a baby your world is as simple as two things.  Happiness and sadness.  Sadness when you are hungry, messy, left alone, have to go to bed, mommy won’t pick you up and the list can go on and on.  Happiness for everything else.  A leaf, a ladybug, ice cream, going for a walk, snails, kitty cats, frosting and cheerios, mom and dad and silly sounds.  There are just so many, many things.  As a Lakewood baby photographer it is my job to try to find what makes each and every one of my little clients happy so that I can catch on camera their perfect little one year old smile.  Most the time I have to coax it out expertly.  Because as a Lakewood baby photographer my studio is filled with big, strange and different things and let’s just face it, that puts a baby more on the less happy side of life.  Some babies are just tough eggs to crack and the elusive smile never appears.  But not Tova.  I felt like she was living the advice of Little Orphan Annie, “you are never fully dressed without a smile!”  Tova smiled from ear to ear throughout her whole milestone portrait session.  All it took was smiling back at her.  I loved it.  What a happy little peanut.  I’m so excited to have been a part of celebrating and recording her first birthday!

Auburn Newborn Photographer ~ Theodore

Auburn Newborn Photographer

I am so excited that Theodore’s family asked me to be their Auburn newborn photographer.  I love that my home studio is so convenient to so many freeways, because it means getting to meet so many wonderful families from all over the Tacoma and Seattle area.  Theodore was my third newborn in a row to give me a sweet little smile during his portrait session.  I don’t know why I have been so lucky this month.  But I love it.  If only there was a secret to guaranteeing a smile!  Wouldn’t it be so great if all I had to do was tickle their feet?  Working with Theodore was wonderful.  He was such a good sleeper.  Like most new babies I had to negotiate with him about his hands.  Even in sleep babies just want those little fists clenched shut.  He won some and I won some, so over all I would say we mastered cooperation, lol.  I am so glad I had the grey furs out for his session because that last image in the bottom right corner is my very favorite (notice it is a Theodore for the win picture).  I love how the grey accentuates his glowing newborn skin.  What a little miracle he is.
