Gwen is sitting and isn’t she just a pretty little doll? It was so fun to get to meet her. Baby portrait sessions require that I get to play a little. I love that. Playing games and singing songs as I get to know the little people I am working with is all part of the job. It helps babies feel comfortable and allows me to get great portraits. Gwen had lots of smiles for us. I am excited to share this little sneak peek with her family.

I have had the pleasure of being this family’s Gig Harbor baby photographer for both of their adorable children. It was so fun to see baby Beau again and see how much he has changed. And especially awesome to meet brand new baby Eilie. Her mommy is a Gig Harbor baby photograph and so she knew exactly what she wanted for baby Eilie’s session. She wanted pink and princess. I asked her to see pictures of her nursery and I was blown away. Eilie’s mom has a flare for decorating. Her nursery is perfection. I will have to get permission to share some of the pictures on my facebook page. My favorite part of Eilie’s nursery are hand painted flowers matted and framed and hung from ribbons above her crib. And the best part is that Eilie’s flowers were painted by her mommy. They will most certainly be treasures and hopefully family heirlooms that will be pasted from generation to the next. Just like her newborn portraits. I can’t wait to see how her mommy uses her newborn portraits to make her baby nursery look even more perfect!
It was such a pleasure to capture some special moments for this wonderful family. Mom wanted me to focus on getting beautiful shots of the new baby with her family. I am so excited to share all of the portraits from her session. I love the connection we captured of Eilie with her mom, dad and big brother. Being a Gig Harbor baby photographer is wonderful! If you are expecting a baby make sure to book a newborn photographer before baby is born. Baby’s change and grow so quickly. If you want to remember them as they were brand new then it is important to photograph baby within their first few weeks. Memories like this will be a treasure you are always glad you invested in.
Puyallup Newborn Photographer
When you are the baby of a family you are truly blessed. Of all the places to be in a birth order line up in a family the baby is the place to be. The coveted position. It is the easiest job, comes with the most perks and is just all around the very best. If you are the baby in your family you may try to disagree, but ask every other sibling and they will all agree that you have the very best spot in the line up. I had the privileged of being Ivy’s Puyallup newborn photographer. She is the baby in her family. She is very blessed. So just what are all the perks of being the baby?
First of all she will never be displaced. No brand new baby is coming to steal her throne. She will always be forever and for always the baby. While it is true that she might get babied a little bit into adulthood, that is not so bad. Youngest children retain their youth more than other children in their families, appearing youthful throughout their adult lives. Attention you ask? Oh their will be lots of attention for this princess. In fact of all of her siblings she will be able to rack up the “attention” score. Youngest children are spoiled, indulged and pampered. Those are not bad things if done right. “Having experienced good things from others, youngest children may grow up expecting good things from life and therefore tend to be optimists rather than negative-thinking people.” Youngest children often learn how to use charm and humor to get attention. This makes them very pleasant to be around. The babies in the family tend to be sociable, easy-going and friendly. Who wouldn’t want that? When Ivy’s mom asked me to be her Puyallup newborn photographer I was so excited. I love big families. I love the calm and joy that parents with several children have when they welcome another to their family. It was such a happy session.
Bonney Lake Baby Photographer
When you have a client that is as adorable as little Tucker it is pretty easy to be a great Bonney Lake baby photographer! Cute babies just make my job so easy! Tucker smiled like a boss until we brought out his birthday cake. He was not a fan of that. And even then he was down right perfectly adorable and gave us a few big cheesy grins. He has grown so much over this past year. I couldn’t believe that handsome head of hair.

Tacoma Baby Photographer
When my last baby girl was a baby her big sister used to love her big cheeks. Kate would call them bubble gum popping cheeks. Though that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense it was a perfectly understandable way to describe perfectly round, undeniably scrumptious cheeks. And Sara’s cheeks had nothing on Mimi’s! Let me tell you, one of the very hardest things about being a Tacoma baby photographer is resisting kissing and snuggling babies. Especially when they are this cute and sweet. I just never know how parents will feel about me nuzzling their little one. I have had to stop myself several times in the nick of time with a sweet baby inches away from my lips. I can not wait until I am a Grandma and can have free reign on baby snuggles.
I have been Mimi and her big sister Adeliade’s Tacoma baby photographer for the last few years now. This session was extra from because Mimi’s Daddy was in charge. Her mommy is going to be 100% surprised with all of these beautiful portraits. I want so badly to be a fly on the wall when she sees the portraits of her baby girl for the first time. My kids are taking bets about which picture will be her very favorite.
