Renton newborn photographer ~ Twice Blessed

This lovely family has hired me twice now as their Renton newborn photographer.  It means so much to me when I earn a family’s loyalty.  I strive to make each and every newborn photography session with me a wonderful experience.  Every single one of my clients is important to me.  I try to honor your loyalty by offering you mine.  When a family comes to see me for baby pictures I lock in my prices at that time for them.  So as my rates change, a family is guaranteed those same prices with each and every baby that they bring to me for newborn portraits.  I want to be a part of bringing each and every baby into your family circle.

Sawyer is baby number two for this family.  Not only was is special to get to meet him, but I got to see Tori all grown up.  She still had the same stunning eyes that I remembered.  But this time she had a head full of beautiful hair.  She was so cooperative when we included her in the session for sibling shots with her new baby brother.  This little guy is going to have a gentle doting big sister.

Kent Maternity Photographer ~ Pregnancy

Pregnancy

Dear precious little baby

she has loved you from the start.

You are her tiny miracle,

laying closely to her heart.

Each day she feels your presence,

each day you quickly grow.

Each day your heart beats softly,

as only she can know.

So she’ll keep this in a special place,

and remember each year through,

of this very special time of life…

the months she carried you.

It was such an honor to be Alicia’s Kent Maternity Photographer.  I love capturing pregnancy on women.  It looks so beautiful on them.  Looking at those curves and contemplating what a woman’s body does to prepare for a newborn baby just boogles my mind.  What a miracle.  Have you ever held a baby in your arms and thought about the process in reverse.  How could that tiny, living, breathing, perfect copy of humanity have been dwelling within it’s mother just moments before?  Being in your last trimester of pregnancy means a lot of anticipation.  A mother is consumed with thoughts about bringing her baby into the world safely and peacefully.  She thinks about those tiny hands that will soon be wrapped around her finger.  As she prepares to nurse or feed her baby I am sure she yearns for those bonding moments that will soon be hers.  There is just so much to look forward to when bringing a new baby into the world.  And there will be some things that you miss.  And not just sleep.  A woman will miss resting her hand on a perfectly swollen tummy.  She will miss the fluttering feelings of her little one growing within.  She will miss be a witness to silent hiccups.

I love being a maternity photographer.  Portraits are memories frozen in time.  It is so wonderful to get to have a portrait session like this before a family’s newborn photography session.  During a maternity session we get to know each other.  It helps parents to be more comfortable with trusting me to capture beautiful portraits of their brand new baby.

Lakewood Newborn Photographer ~ Tova 7 Days Old

Being a Lakewood newborn photographer means getting to see lots of adorable babies.  Tova came to see me for baby portraits at the tender age of seven days old.  She was a perfect darling, so squishy and perfect.  It is a not so secret fact that I absolutely adore photographing baby girls.  Maybe it is because I am mother to three beautiful daughters.  I still like to keep things pretty simple when taking baby portraits of little ladies.  I think it is just that as my three daughters joined our family last I feel an affinity to baby girls.  I am so excited for Tova and her mommy.  They have so many wonderful, beautiful memories just waiting to be made, shared and treasured!  There is no better gift in the world than a daughter.

University Place Baby Photographer ~ 100 days

Zoe’s mom hired me as her University Place baby photographer.  She asked me to capture Zoe’s special baby milestone of 100 days.  I do not often have the opportunity to take these types of baby portraits.  But this last month I have been able to photograph a baby boy boy and now a baby girl at this very special milestone.  Zoe warmed up to me while still in her car seat.  She was full of sweet smiles.  And did super well until she decided it was time for a nap.  As her mommy cuddled her up I was witness to some really beautiful mothering.  Her mom whispered sweetly and gently to her, humming little songs and bouncing her softly.  There was so much patience and love there.  And her little girl responded perfectly by relaxing and falling right to sleep.  As a photographer it is always a privilege to be a part of special moments like that.  I love witnessing mothering.  It reminded of the scene in Dumbo when his mom takes him up in the comfort of her trunk and rocks him to sleep with a lullaby.  Here are some of my favorite images from Zoe’s University Place photography session.

100 days Baby Portraits

100 days ago she came to you

creating a family of just you two.

100 days have already past

of joy and happiness that will forever last.

100 days of you and her

feelings of joy that never before were.

100 days of smiles and laughter

enough to last for many years after.

100 days of coos and cahs

cozy mummurs under the stars.

100 days of hugs and kisses

the angels above our only witness.

100 days of happiness

baby make feelings forever last.
