As mother with child, each day I knew
My mind would be filled with thoughts of you.
I’m daydreaming of the things we’ll share,
Like late-night bottles and teddy bears.
Like first steps and skinned knees,
Like bedtime stories and ABC’s.
I’m thinking of things you’ll want to know,
Like how birds fly and flowers grow.
I’ve thought of lessons I’ll need to share,
Like standing tall and playing fair.
When I first see your precious face,
I’ll pray your life be touched with grace.
I’ll thank the angels from above,
And promise you unending love.
Each night I’ll lay you down to sleep,
I’ll gently kiss your head and cheek.
I’ll count your little fingers and toes,
I’ll memorize your eyes and nose.
I will linger at your nursery door,
Awed each day that I love you more.

I am an Auburn newborn photographer and I love squishy babies. That is my confession. Check out Benjamin’s little puppy paws, and he is only two weeks old. He is going to be the very cutest, plumpest, perfectly squishy baby ever. And he has a sister. Just as perfect as he is. She is gentle and loving and is going to be the perfect big sister. It was so fun to have her back in the studio. It has been a long time since I have had her in front of my lens. They are peas in a pod these two. One blonde, one brunette, both little butter balls of perfection.

You would never know that Malakai was not a fan of his cake. I made sure to capture every single happy, smiling moment. There is no guarantee at a cake smash that a little person is going to be giddy for sugary frosting. For most babies it is their first exposure to making a huge mess and to sweet overload. I have a few tricks up my sleeve to help me capture a few perfect moments. And only once did I ever have a total fail. Another thing that I do to make sure that cake smash photography sessions are a big success is to photograph your baby before we bring out the cake. That way I can be sure to offer you a great variety of images of your baby even if there is a cake meltdown. Professionals cover all their bases! I am always so happy to get amazing images like this one. His smile is worth a million bucks!

Isn’t she just perfect? It sure does make my job as a Puyallup Baby Photographer a whole lot easier when I get to photograph such perfectly, precious little ladies. I loved this little jumper that Noel’s mom brought to her session. It has it all, classic but current, feminine and spunky. Seriously, props to the designer. I thought it would look perfect with all of my new flowers. And what little lady isn’t perfectly accessorized with flowers? Noel was full of smiles on the day of her session. It made me smile too because every time she smiled her parents laughed. What a beautiful thing having a baby girl brings to a family. She brings her parents so much happiness.
