Tacoma Baby Photography ~ Playtime

I know I say this all the time.  I LOVE little girls!  I got to dress little Natalie up in my favorite lace romper from Sugar Babies.  I love the way it compliments her yummy skin tone.  We gave her the pearls and she was mesmerized.  It was as if it was the best toy ever.  Normally I drape the pearls around a baby’s neck.  I don’t know why I decided to just lay them at her feet this time.  It was fun to watch her investigate them.  I know that her mommy will probably prefer the shots I got of her looking up with her big eyes and pretty smile.  But this one has some kind of enchanting magic about it.  It is my favorite image from her session.   I love seeing those lashes just barely peeking out and her beautiful cheeks so round and sweet.

I have so many beautiful images to share with her family from her session.  I can’t wait to finish editing them!

Puyallup Baby Photographer ~ Birthday Princess

Emily came to see me from not too far away in Lake Tapps.  Some of my favorite clients have come from that city.  It must be a good place to raise a family.  I was so excited to work with this little birthday princess for her cake smash session.  I know it is silly but it always tickles me pink to have clients with the same names as my own children.  Emily was not in the mood to be photographed however!  But that is ok.  All princesses deserve to have their “Diva” moments every once in a while.  Good thing her brothers came along.  They were little knights in shinning armor!  If it weren’t for their help I would have never gotten this little angel to give me some smiles.  She must love them so much.  All it took was a few funny faces and she was all smiles.

I love that she came ready for her portrait session dressed to the nines!  Wouldn’t you say her mommy has good taste?  I swear parents who shop at Sugar Babies for outfits for upcoming photography sessions can NEVER go wrong.  Ashley and her staff KNOW how to dress a baby!  There should be a bumper sticker, “Smart Moms shop at Sugar Babies”.  I think I have to get some of these darling lace leggings for the studio.  I love them.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Puyallup Baby Photographer ~

It is hard to pick a favorite age.  As a parent and a photographer I would have to say the 6 months -1 1/2 years is my favorite.  I know that is a big range.  But it all starts here, with a sitting baby full of personality.  Jaxon has gotten bigger and now smiles a lot, but he stills has those same long lashes and big beautiful eyes!  My favorite set, bar none, is this simple white set.  I love that it is all about Jaxon here.  Without any extras to occupy the efforts of our eyes we are drawn to his tummy squish, his big blue eyes, his chubby toes and that perfect blond cowlick right in the middle of his hairline.  It screams BABY to me.  I had so many favorites from this set I had a super hard time choosing the very best!

Tacoma Newborn Photographer ~ My Babies, All Grown Up

As a newborn photographer you would think I would have stunning baby portraits of my own four children.  Unfortunately I didn’t have the equipment or the skill to take lovely portraits when my little ones were born.  I gave it a pretty valiant effort with my third and knew better with my 4rth and left it to more talented artists.  But with my first two, sadly all I have are Sears portraits.  So when my fur babies were born they were destined to have their turn in the studio spotlight.  I had so much fun taking “newborn” photos of them.  Now they are all grown up.  This is their “sitting” stage.  At a few months old.  I thought it would be fun to let them play with the fish.  (He is very accustomed to the cats as his aquarium in their water dish)  Just thought I would share my babies with you;-)

I love being a newborn photographer.  This little guy just became a big brother!  I get to meet his new brother this next week!  Yeah!  It is so fun too to have families from my very own community here in Puyallup coming to see me.  Super excited!
