Could she seriously get any cuter? I love it when I get to see babies that I photographed as newborns come back to the studio for sessions like a cake smash. She has changed so much, but I can still remember her newborn session. There is always so much change in that first year. She is a little person now, full of expressive smiles and piercing, inquisitive gazes from her sparkling blue eyes. She absolutely loved her balloons. All of my favorite images from her session are with the balloons. Hadley was so excited and it was a contagious joy! We all laughed up a storm as she went to town with her pink balloons. Happy Birthday beautiful girl!
Gianna came to see me last week to have her newborn pictures taken. She is stunning and it was such a pleasure to take portraits that will forever lock in her newborn innocence.
I was at the park today with my three daughters. I love to watch them play. They are all four year apart but they are so close to each other. They always make my heart swell a little bit and that usually puts me in a reflective mood. I love photographing baby girls. I don’t know what it is that makes me love it so much. I still keep things pretty simple with girls, so it isn’t the accessories. I think a part of it is that my daughters make me so happy that I am so happy for families that bring me little girls to photograph. I know the joy and companionship that is in store for those mothers. I can’t imagine life without a daughter. A daughter is:

Lucy means light. And a light she will be. She will I’m sure be a bright spot in her family’s history. She came as a surprise and will be such a blessing. I can see her first smile melting her mother’s heart. I can imagine her learning to walk holding her big brother’s hand. It is easy to see her snuggling in her daddy’s lap. She will be a light, a joy, a spring of happiness. I am so excited for her wonderful family. Little girls really do bring with them a little touch of magic.
Could Preston be any cuter? What a privilege it has been to be his newborn and baby photographer! Something about his creamy skin, big brown eyes and rock star hair just make this little tyke a charmer!
