I was so excited to be Jaxon’s baby photographer. I was able to capture his big sister as a newborn (ish) and now him! He is a little miracle boy as he joined his family through the gift of adoption. Adoption is such a beautiful thing. I love how it blesses the lives of three groups of people. For the birth mother, it allows her to start fresh, to have a clean slate and not be held down by the weight and burden of a child she can not provide for. For the child it gives him not only LIFE but a capable family to raise, love and care for him. And then for a family that aches for a baby of their own he is balm to their souls. Successful adoption takes two GREAT, STRONG, LOVING women. Jaxon welcome to your new family!!!!
Sofia is a sweet tender hearted little lady. It has been a pleasure to photograph her as a newborn and then again to be her photographer as she has progressed through her baby stages. I think she is a little miracle baby. She was born with the most perfect birthmark ever and it has stayed! She has a perfect little heart on her tummy just like a Care Bear. It is a perfect representation of this little angel. A tattoo God gave her to let the world know that she is very special and sweet. Happy Birthday little Sofia!
Her mother said she looks like an angel in pinks and whites. I think she is spot on. This little angel is straight from heaven. Porcelain skin, big soft pink lips and strawberry sun kissed hair.
Angel
Angel sweet and fair
come from heaven up above
cradled in moms arms.
Your skin is so fair
like a fragile orchid flow’r
it shines with beauty.
Your lips are perfect
for kissing and nuzzling
they are so very soft.
Heavenly Father
sent you to a family
that will love you so.
It is true that the eyes are the windows to the soul. What a profound statement. And yet it is a gift exclusively human. No other animal can read thoughts an emotions from looking into such “windows” other than humankind. Dogs come in a close second. They can read our eyes, but not their own species. The art of looking into someone’s eyes and seeing there love, compassion, curiosity, and need is ours alone. And yet how often do we really take advantage of such a gift. When is the last time you really looked into the eyes of someone you love. When you hold your child close and look into those beautiful eyes do you truly see what they are trying to tell you. Do you see a quest for intelligence and curiosity like little Corey’s eyes here. Look; through the windows of the soul.
Sleepy little angel. As a newborn photographer it sure does make my day when the babies I am photographing are slumbering peacefully like this. Do you ever wonder what babies dream about? What fills there heads during all those countless hours of rest? Do they dream about their womb environment? Are they trying to make since of all the new stimuli of their new world during their sleeping hours? They have had such a short existence. Their minds are an empty slate. What ever it is that busily weaves dreams for us has little experience to work with when it comes to precious babies like Jaxon. Maybe his only dream is that of being held, fed, the hum of his mothers heart and coo of her voice.
