When you are a very special baby and you are about to celebrate your first birthday it is a pretty grand occasion!  No wonder his Grandparents are traveling from far away states so that they can be with him to celebrate his special day.  And what better way to celebrate such a special and happy occasion than to have your birthday portraits taken!  Gabriel is such a happy little boy.  He is full of happy, curious energy and smiles at the smallest encouraging smile from others.  His cheerful and playful demeanor was caught in the beautiful portraits I was able to take of him this last week when he came to see me.  I image that this next year is going to be filled with so many happy memories.  A baby’s second year is my favorite.  So many wonderful “feeling” memories will be cemented in his mommy’s mind.  Like the way it feels to hold his chubby hand in hers as he toddles about.  The way her heart will swell with happiness as she she him learn to run and jump with joy.  The feeling she will feel forever every time she thinks back to how he will rush to the door to great her every time she has been away.  And the laugh.  That little tinkling sound of merriment, perhaps the best sound in all the world, will be heard so much in this next year that she will never forget it.  Such a wonderful year ahead for this sweet little prince.  Happy birthday Gabriel.  Continue to let your light shine to uplift those around you!
