Seattle Baby Photographer ~ Miraculous
“Once there were two women who never knew each other
One you do not remember, the other you call Mother
Two different lives shaped to make you one
One became your guiding star, the other became your sun
The first one gave you life, and the second taught you to live it
The first gave you a need for love, the second was there to give it
One gave you a nationality, the other gave you a name
One gave you a talent, the other gave you aim
One gave you emotions, the other calmed your fears
One saw your first sweet smile, the other dried you tears
One made an adoption plan, that was all that she could do
The other prayed for a child, and God led her straight to you.
Now, which of these two women, Are you the product of?
Both, my darling, Both, Just two different types of love.”

My clients this past week were celebrating the adoption of their brand new baby girl. Their story was so wonderful to hear. How they waited, how they were told a baby was waiting for them, the miracle of naming their baby all the details were so wonderful to hear about. I love that being a Seattle baby photographer means that I get to meet so many wonderful families and hear the stories of how their babies came into the world, whether that be through bearing a baby themselves or through adoption. Each and every story is a miracle!
Adoption is such a beautiful thing. That a woman choose to give a life instead of ending one is just the first of many difficult decisions that a birth mom makes. I have often thought about the first moments of reaction that an adopting mother has when she first hears the news that another woman has decided to make her a mother. After months, years of waiting to have a situation totally out of your control end with such a perfect beginning. There must just be a tidal wave of emotions. I am so happy for this baby girl. She will have be so very loved. It was such an honor to be her Seattle baby photographer and to capture her innocent and perfect beginnings!
