Gabriel has something to celebrate!  He came to his cake smash photography session with a defeated Mom.  And that is a bummer for any baby.  She had all these wonderful ideas for her session.  And the bakery near her home had squashed them all.  She went to pick up the cake she had ordered for her son’s session and it was a disaster.  At whit’s end, and in a moment of desperation she grabbed a cupcake.  She pulled up to my studio a ball of nerves.  As she showed me her cupcake and I knew right away that if we used that instead of a true cake she would never be happy with the images from her session.  So we hopped into the car and rode the short distance to my local Safeway.  The ladies at the bakery there are angles.  They whipped up a perfect cake for us in a matter of minutes.  I got to know Gabriel’s mommy a bit better and we both consoled each other ( I was suffering from a tooth ache and went in later that day for an emergency root canal).  The day was saved.  Gabriel smiled through his whole session and gets the sought after designation of “BEST CAKE SMASHER EVER” to date.  This boy loves his cake!  Happy birthday little man!
