Rock A Bye Baby {Newborn Photographer Seattle, Tacoma, Puyallup}
I have wanted to work on this type of stylized portrait for as long as I have been a newborn photographer. It was an image like this (but far superior) done by the amazing team Baby As Art that originally made me fall in love with newborn photography. After learning the trade now for the last two years, I finally felt confident to take on this pose. It is no easy feat. It takes a whole room full of helpers and quite a bit of work in post processing (had to remove the hand that was supporting this little lady). One of the reasons I love this pose is that it makes me think of that iconic image of a stork delivering a special gift. It makes me think of Disny’s classic, “Dumbo”. Such beautiful hand animation and one of my all time favorite baby lullabies in that piece of film.
So lovely little Rachel got to be the sweet baby to fulfill a goal on my bucket list. Looking at it makes me happy and proud. Now to continue on my never ending quest to become even better;-) Maybe this time next year I will be posting another stork image and it will be even more perfect!
Afsi - Jennifer you are simply amazing! There has not been one instance when someone has seen the photos of our newborn and not said “who was your photographer”? This image is breathtaking. Lucky Rachel!
